Ledesma happy to be benched

Walsall wonder Emmanuel Ledesma insists he is happy to leave boss Dean Smith to decide his role in the club`s survival run-in. The little Argentinian, 22, created excitement when he landed at the Banks`s Stadium towards the back end of February on a deal until the end of the season. The former Genoa forward showed real glimpses of quality as he made three starts and one substitute appearance, but it was not until he then came off the bench against Hartlepool on Saturday that he showed his true worth. With the Saddlers 2-0 down, Ledesma`s 56th-minute introduction sparked a stunning revival in which he was at the centre of everything, capping a memorable 5-2 turnaround with an injury-time free-kick. His performance leaves Smith with a decision as to how best to utilise his talents. And Ledesma told the club`s official website: "It is a decision for the manager, not me. For me, it is not my decision. I have no problem whether it`s the bench or I start, I just love to play. "If it`s 4-4-2 and I`m up front or on the right, I don`t mind. I like playing as a striker but on the right is good too. For me, this isn`t work. This is a game. I enjoy it and I`m happy when I play. That`s why I smile. The fans shout my name and I am very happy."
