Ledesma back for Saddlers

Walsall welcome back Emmanuel Ledesma from suspension for their survival showdown at Southampton. The Argentinian playmaker completed a three-match ban with the passing of last weekend`s vital 2-0 home victory over Charlton, a result which leaves the Saddlers in pole position to retain their League One status on the final day. But Ledesma is unlikely to find himself in Walsall`s starting XI at St Mary`s, with manager Dean Smith charged with the decision whether to keep faith with the same XI who saw off the Addicks for what would be a third successive match. Smith does not have any new injury or suspension worries, with centre-back Clayton McDonald (dislocated shoulder) and full-back Aaron Lescott (knee ligament strain) the only absentees. Walsall, one point and one place clear of the drop zone, need only to match the result of Dagenham & Redbridge, who travel to Peterborough, to survive, with 22nd-placed Bristol Rovers all but relegated due to their vastly inferior goal difference.
