Lancashire relishing reunion

Walsall defender Ollie Lancashire will put sentiment to one side on Saturday when he lines up against former employers Southampton. The 22-year-old swapped St Mary`s for the Banks`s Stadium over the summer having made his professional debut at the south-coast club in 2008. He made a total of 17 appearances in two years before being released. And looking ahead to Saturday`s meeting, Lancashire told Walsall`s official website: "It will be good, It will be quite weird. I`ve never played against my old team before and my old friends but it`s just another game really. "I`ve got to go out there with the same attitude and hopefully get a good result. I`m definitely looking forward to it. I`ll see all the old fans and they`ll probably bring quite a good following here, but hopefully we can get the win." Victory would hand the struggling Saddlers back-to-back league triumphs for the first time since August following Sunday`s impressive 1-0 success at The Valley. And Lancashire added: "We played very well at Charlton. But, like the manager said, it`s only one game and we need to build on it. The boys are in good spirits and we need to carry that into Saturday. It would be great to get all three points against my old team."
