Ince: Competition is a good thing

Ince has had to be content with a place on the bench since returning from international duty, and Gilmartin has impressed during his time between the posts in the last three matches. But despite praise for his fellow stopper, the 37-year-old says he is hungry to regain his place in Chris Hutchings' side. "It gives the gaffer a selection headache because he has two good goalkeepers. He can put him in any time and know Rene can perform, so it's good for the team," he told the Express and Star. "It makes it even better for me and Rene because we must keep high standards. I don't mind having a fight for it - that's what football is all about. "The gaffer makes the decision, whether Rene is doing well or not, sometimes it could be tactical or whatever. We both have to work hard."
