Hutchings admits to problems

Walsall boss Chris Hutchings has admitted that he faces a major task in persuading players to join his club this summer.

Hutchings is hopeful of bringing in a number of new faces, but has been frustrated in his search so far.

He told the Express & Star: "People think we can just do this or that, but there are a lot of scenarios which go into getting a player to the football club.

"It's about who is willing to come. Who is willing to come from the north or south to the Midlands.

"It is harder than in the past because the problem is, if you're only offering one-year contracts, you're not going to get people who are going to go 'right, I'll uproot for a year'."
