Hutchings: We didn't get going

Walsall manager Chris Hutchings had no complaints about his team being knocked out of the Johnstone's Paint Trophy 2-1 by Chesterfield at the Banks's Stadium. A record-low crowd of 1,793 watched on as the League Two side had too much for their hosts, leaving Hutchings unhappy. He said: "I was disappointed with most of the boys. It was not one of our best performances and we did not seem to get going. The equaliser we scored should have given us a spring in our step, but it's disappointing because we know we can play better than that. "We started off okay, but their first goal knocked the wind out of our sails a bit. Then we equalised and had a couple of other chances but we never really took off for some reason. "We had done well in our last two games and it's frustrating. In the second half we hit a post and had a few skirmishes with long-range shots but never really threatened. "We want to get back to winning ways against Colchester on Saturday and we shall be working hard to put things right."
