Hutchings revels in Saddlers win

Walsall boss Chris Hutchings hailed his side`s performance as the best of the season in the 1-0 win at promotion-chasing Charlton. The Saddlers moved off the bottom of League One courtesy of Matt Richards` second-half goal, which earned them their second away win of the campaign. And the display delighted Hutchings. "You could say it was our best performance of the season," he said. "It was a good all-round team performance and thoroughly deserved. I felt the goal was an excellent goal, a great ball in and great set up and Matty Richards gave an excellent finish. "I'm delighted for him but I can't pick anybody out because it was a team performance and thoroughly deserved. We could have had one or two more. "We were due a win and it has been a long time coming. To come to a place like Charlton and get it and play as we did against a Charlton side I fully expect to be up there at the end of the season is very pleasing."
