Hutchings praise for Walker

Walsall boss Chris Hutchings and Fleetwood counterpart Micky Mellon praised the performance of veteran goalkeeper Jimmy Walker after the Saddlers edged past their non-league opponents in Tuesday night`s FA Cup replay. Under-pressure Saddlers boss Hutchings, whose side are stranded at the bottom of League One, saw Walker make a clutch of key saves before Reuben Reid scored a brace after the break to clinch a 2-0 victory and book a tie with Torquay. Speaking about his number one, Hutchings said: "That's what he's paid to do but he has come up tremendous and kept us in the game." A naturally disappointed Mellon added: "A lot of credit must go to their goalkeeper - I can't stand him the way he has played in the two games against us. I'm glad to see the back of him. "He looks as though he can't touch the crossbar but he is like Spiderman and has produced some absolutely terrific saves." The replay victory will ease at least some of the pressure on Hutchings after Walsall's dreadful league results, and he said: "You are on a hiding to nothing in these games but you just want to try and get through and be in the next round. We have won the game and kept a clean sheet."
