Hutchings positive despite tough run
Under-fire Walsall boss Chris Hutchings views the club`s daunting sequence of forthcoming games as an opportunity for his players to prove the doubters wrong.
The Saddlers looked to have turned around a dreadful eight-game winless run with four points from two matches against Exeter and Dagenham.
But Saturday`s 4-1 home defeat to bottom club Tranmere undid all their good work and led to a section of fans calling for Hutchings` head with the team second from bottom in League One.
Matters do not get any easier with a trip to fifth-placed Huddersfield on Saturday followed by games against Peterborough (3rd), Bournemouth (2nd), Carlisle (8th) and Sheffield Wednesday (4th).
But defiant Hutchings said: "They are teams who are going very, very well. So if that`s not a tonic for the players to prove people wrong then nothing will be."
