The marksman struck four minutes from the end of a League One cracker at the Banks's Stadium to sink the Saddlers. Home boss Hutchings said: "It was a wonderful finish. Manny Smith allowed him to turn but it was a great shot." Sam Parkin's penalty gave the Saddlers the lead after 79 minutes but Bradley Johnson levelled and Beckford beat Clayton Ince for the dramatic winner. Hutchings added: "I am very disappointed because I thought we gave it a good shot against one of the most fancied teams in the league. "To go 1-0 with less than 15 minutes to go and then concede from a corner when we did not pick up correctly was disappointing and I thought we should have had a penalty in the first half."
