Hutchings hails Saddlers players
Dwayne Mattis, who began his career with the Yorkshire club, hammered in a low left-foot shot three minutes from time to claim the win.
And Hutchings was satisfied following Saturday's 3-0 defeat at Hartlepool.
He said: "I thought we played well enough and deserved to win and we could have had a penalty in the first half.
"It was pleasing to get a good response from the players after a poor performance in the previous game."
