Walsall manager Chris Hutchings is relieved to still be in charge after a horrendous opening to the season. Second-bottom Saddlers are fighting relegation from npower League One and Hutchings knows that he has chairman Jeff Bonser to thank for keeping him in work. "The chairman is a strong man," Hutchings told the Express & Star. "I am thankful to still to be in the job, because things haven't gone so well for us. "He knows we're working extremely hard off the pitch and the foundations of the club are being run properly. "I've had massive support which you need at clubs. Not everyone can have good times. "It's a fickle world at times, look at Sam Allardyce and Chris Hughton. It's the nature of the game unfortunately."
