Hutchings content to share points

Walsall boss Chris Hutchings admitted a draw was probably a fair result after watching his side play out a goalless stalemate with Bristol Rovers. The Saddlers have now gone eight games without a win but almost snatched all three points in stoppage time when Clayton McDonald's header crashed against the crossbar. Chances were few and far between at the Banks's Stadium but Bristol Rovers wasted a glorious chance to break the deadlock shortly before McDonald's miss when Stuart Campbell forced a fine save out of Clayton Ince in the Walsall goal. Hutchings said: "It (McDonald's header) was a great chance and we felt we should have scored then, but it would probably have been hard for either side to lose. "A draw was probably the fair result on a difficult pitch. Not too many chances were created and Rovers were probably pleased with the clean sheet as well."
