Hutchings: Big freeze hit my budget

The majority of Football League clubs have been hit financially by the raft of postponements over the past four weeks and Walsall are no different, losing out on what would have been crucial returns from home games against League One big hitters Norwich and Charlton.[LNB]Although the Saddlers' bank balance remains stable, Hutchings insists the effects of the big freeze have rippled into every area of the football club, including his transfer kitty.[LNB]He told the Express and Star: "The budget comes into it. This club has had five games called off and it's hit everyone in the pocket. We might have been able to manoeuvre things a little easier and the circumstances haven't helped.[LNB]"The football club needs that revenue to have a bit of breathing space to keep things moving and other clubs who haven't been able to do it are also feeling the pinch."[LNB]Meanwhile, Walsall's rearranged encounter against Norwich will take place this Saturday should their current opponents, Brentford, avoid an FA Cup exit against Doncaster on Tuesday night. Should they go out, the Canaries will instead face the Bees and then come to the Banks's Stadium next Tuesday.[LNB][LNB]
