Hutchings awaiting big decisions
The Saddlers are still waiting to hear back from Clayton Ince, Rene Gilmartin, Manny Smith, Netan Sansara, Sofiene Zaaboub, Jabo Ibehre and Chris Palmer as to whether they will accept offers on the table.
The seven have until the start of June to come back with their decisions and although Hutchings is keeping an eye on the transfer market, he insists moves will not be made until he knows whether those players are staying at the Banks's Stadium or leaving the club.
He told the Saddlers official website: "We've made offers to those players who are out of contract and we're waiting for them to come back in touch. We will know more in the next couple of weeks but we are looking at the market at this moment in time and looking at players who are available.
"We're leaving our options open until we know exactly which players we have offered contracts to will take these up, so, at the moment, things are ongoing.
"It's still very early days. We're still in May and the full pre-season training does not start until July."
