Veteran striker Geoff Horsfield is training with Walsall as he looks to prolong his career.

The 34-year-old has been without a club since leaving Championship side Sheffield United at the end of the last campaign.

"Geoff lives locally and asked if he could come in and train with us," manager Jimmy Mullen told the club's official website.

"He was getting fed up training on his own in his local gym so we have allowed him to come in and do some work with us.

"That is the situation as it currently stands."
