Walsall have refused to comment on the future of manager Chris Hutchings but have declared there is cash available for him to spend. The Saddlers are bottom of League One after Saturday's 1-0 defeat to Yeovil and haven't won for eight games, but chief executive Stefan Gamble said the club are determined to come through the bad patch. "We know that the results simply haven't been good enough, but we are all working hard behind the scenes to turn things around" he said in a club statement. "Funds are available to bring in a couple of new faces in order to freshen things up on the playing side and we hope to have some new blood on board before Saturday's fixture against Exeter City."
