Fox earns Money backing

Walsall left-back Daniel Fox won special mention from boss Richard Money for his performance in the 2-0 victory at Yeovil Town.

The 21-year-old handed in a transfer request last week after being linked with a move to Leeds United, but gave a solid display at Huish Park as the Saddlers stretched their unbeaten run to 17 games.

Money told the Birmingham Mail: "I'd like to give a special mention to Daniel Fox.

"I never had any doubt he would play here and as long as he is a Walsall player, as far as I am concerned, he will be in the team.

"He has made his decision and now we have to play Swindon at home on Saturday and if he is here, he will be in the team.

"I don't think he will be gone by Saturday. Nobody has come up with the type of money we are looking for and he knows what the situation is."
