Defensive duo miss out for Saddlers

Captain Hughes will serve the second game of his three-match ban while McDonald joins him in the stands having being sent off in Tuesday's 3-0 defeat at Southend, meaning he now serves a three-game ban of his own. That means manager Chris Hutchings is now left with a selection poser at the heart of his defence. But Hutchings' options have been increased by the fact Matt Richards is back in training having come off against Southend at half-time with an ankle injury. He will be assessed over the next 24 hours along with midfielder Dwayne Mattis, who has also returned to training having been taken off at Roots Hall with a recurrence of an Achilles problem.
