Deeney rues missed opportunities
Deeney snatched an equaliser to halt the promotion-chasing Iron in their tracks as the Saddlers stretched their unbeaten run to six games.
But he said: "The goal I got was a great one. Those sorts of efforts from me normally finish over the stand.
"But I should have done better with some other chances that came my way. I've apologised to my team-mates for not doing better.
"Victory at Scunthorpe would have had us looking at the play-off positions. And it was only two terrific saves from their keeper in the closing minutes that denied us a win."
