Davis recalled by Wolves

Walsall have been dealt a blow after Wolves activated a recall clause to end David Davis` loan stay at the Banks`s Stadium. The midfielder has started every game for the Saddlers since initially arriving on a month-long deal on September 9, with an extension into a second month agreed only last Tuesday. But Wolves have been left with no option to recall the 19-year-old, who will now be a part of their squad for Saturday`s trip to Chelsea, with both Karl Henry and Michael Mancienne unavailable. Walsall boss Chris Hutchings saluted Davis for his sterling service before admitting he will assess the situation on Thursday afternoon as to whether a replacement is needed. "Whether we bring someone in or give someone already here their chance is something that we will be looking at very closely," he told the club`s official website.
