Walsall loanee Andrew Davies has returned to parent club Stoke. The 25-year-old defender, who signed on a one-month loan deal from the Potters on October 6, made three appearances for the Saddlers before picking up a thigh strain which caused him to miss the last three matches. Walsall manager Chris Hutchings told the club's official website: "Andrew did well for us in the games he played. Unfortunately he picked up an injury against Tranmere which has meant he's been unavailable for the last two weeks. "He's returned to Stoke to continue his rehabilitation and we wish him a speedy recovery." Meanwhile, on-loan Barnsley midfielder Martin Devaney will go for a scan later this week after picking up a hamstring injury during Saturday's 1-1 draw with Fleetwood in the FA Cup first round. Hutchings added: "Martin just pulled up on Saturday. We'll send him for a scan to find out the extent of the injury."
