Comeback win pleases Mullen

Walsall boss Jimmy Mullen was pleased with the quality of football his side produced in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy victory at Cheltenham Town.

The Saddlers were forced to come from behind before progressing to the next round of the competition thanks to second-half goals by Jabo Ibehre and Michael Ricketts.

Mullen said after the 2-1 win: "Our hosts caught us cold early on, but it was the kick up the backside that we needed.

"The response from the lads was first-class and I felt that we went on to dominate the game, although we had to be patient before getting ourselves back on level terms.

"We played some decent football and kept plugging away and our efforts were rewarded with two well-worked goals."
