Byfield senses busy period

Walsall striker Darren Byfield believes Tuesday night's clash against table-topping Norwich City is hugely important as they prepare to play ten times before the end of February.

The Saddlers are continuing to prove critics wrong as they hover around the League One play-off places and with the Canaries in town, he believes it is the start of a critical period.

Speaking to the club's official website, he said: "Basically the period ahead is season-defining.

"After these games we will know what we are going for and have a good idea of where we're going to be, whether that's mid-table, fighting relegation or going for the play-offs.

"We're confident that we'll be at the top end of the table and give it a good push.

"I've heard people say they'd rather have the points than the games in hand, but if we can get ourselves on a run, anything is possible."
