Byfield set for two-week absence

Walsall captain Darren Byfield has been ruled out for at least two weeks with a knee injury. The striker limped off during Saturday's 2-1 defeat to Swindon due to a bruised knee, while he has also struggled with an Achilles problem during the season. But, despite being disappointed, manager Chris Hutchings feels he has enough striking options to cope with his skipper's absence. "Darren will be out for around two weeks," Hutchings told the club's official website. "The scan revealed bruising to his knee. It's a bit of a blow but we do have attacking options." Byfield is expected to miss the Saddlers' next three npower League One games against Hartlepool, Leyton Orient and Yeovil.
