Bournemouth 3-0 Walsall: Report

14 November 2010 00:12
Josh at the treble - again Josh McQuoid made it two hat-tricks in the space of a week as Bournemouth dispatched bottom side Walsall 3-0. The winger-turned-striker headed home in the 28th and 70th minutes before completing his treble three minutes from time. McQuoid had also hit three in the 5-3 FA Cup defeat of Tranmere seven days earlier. Walsall barely troubled the Cherries except for a 22nd-minute run into the box from Paul Marshall, which needed a captain's block from Jason Pearce. Soon after McQuoid was celebrating his first - Marc Pugh turned Manny Smith inside and crossed, putting it on a plate for the man of the moment. Rhoys Wiggins was provider for the second, controlling well on the edge of the box, turning inside and crossing for McQuoid whose diving header rolled past James Walker. McQuoid's third was all his own work when he fired home from 30 yards with Walker glued to the spot.
