Two goals in the opening six minutes set the Pirates on their way and Walsall failed to force a save from the opposition goalkeeper until late on in an embarrassing showing. Hutchings said: "We were beaten by the better side. You can't give goals away in the manner we did and none of the players can take any credit from that performance. "We gave ourselves a mountain to climb by going two down in six minutes. "It was the worst display I have seen since I have been here and we can have no excuses. We looked lifeless and a little bit clueless at times."
