Wales without injured pair

Wales have been hit by the late withdrawals of Gareth Bale and Darcy Blake from their squad to face Luxembourg at Parc-y-Scarlets tonight.

Tottenham defender Bale and Cardiff counterpart Blake picked up injuries during training and have been ruled out of the Llanelli match.

The news is a particular blow for Blake as the 21-year-old was set to win his first cap after impressing during Cardiff's run to last season's Championship play-off final.

The absence of the pair means manager John Toshack is without six members of his original squad as he prepares for Wales' final friendly before they begin their Euro 2012 qualifying campaign.

Sheffield United striker Ched Evans and Wolves' team-mates Dave Edwards and Sam Vokes were all ruled out with various ailments, while Fulham's Simon Davies has retired from international football.

Toshack is set to hand Millwall striker Steve Morison a first cap, while captain Craig Bellamy will make a first appearance in 10 months.
