Cherries: Injury woe for 'mystery man' Guyett
"My son visited pizza hut restaurant at West End London, on the 10th June 2009 at approximately 6pm with a friend. They was seated by the manager at the counter area in the restaurant, at this time they was asked to pay for they meal before they eat. While deciding what they was going to order, they realised that other customers was seated at the front of the restaurant and was not asked to pay for their meals before they had eaten. They asked the manager why they had been seated by the counter and other customers was not ask to pay for their meals before they had eaten, his reply was that Pizza Hut rules are if they believe a customer/s is a threat to the restaurant the manager has all rights to request for payment first and if they don't pay before they eat he will not take they order and they can leave and use another restaurant. We was the only black male customers in the restaurant at the time of the incident and was the only customers that was asked to pay before they had eaten and was seated at the counter. They are law abiding British Citizens and would like to know why they was the only customer that was a threat to the restaurant. This is typical stereotyping their are good and bad people from all different backgrounds so to be single out as a threat is unacceptable, they was not going to pay before they order, so they decided to leave after been humiliated. Another customer who witnessed the whole incident and was willing to provide an statement, could not believe the ignorance, unmanned, and the unfair treatment they faced. This is DIRECT DISCRIMINATION. Recently on the news they was a couple who appeared to be white went into a restaurant ordered the most expensive meal and wine, after finishing there meal they went without paying. Pizza Hut should ask every customer to pay before they eat or do not ask any customer to pay before they have finished there meal."
