How Wales rated against Israel

06 September 2015 19:01

Wayne Hennessey - Saved Tomer Hemed's header late on but the palm over was routine stuff. 6/10

Jazz Richards - Built on fine performances in last two games to be steady influence down the right. Provided an attacking purpose whenever he could. 7

Chris Gunter - Always alert to cover his skipper Ashley Williams when needed to and showed his experience on the odd occasion Israel threatened. 6

Ashley Williams - Presented a formidable barrier as usual, never gave Israel any encouragement and will delight in yet another clean sheet. 7

Neil Taylor - Was given the licence to break forward down the left and got into some promising positions but his crossing was not always of the desired standard. 6

Andy King - A bit more freedom allowed him to play more of his natural game after he was restricted in Cyprus, but should have put Wales ahead. 6

David Edwards - Always in the thick of the midfield action and tackled and harried well. Forced fine save from Marciano in the second half. 6

Aaron Ramsey - Took the game to Israel in the opening stages and had plenty of energy throughout. Always probing for an opening. 7

Gareth Bale - Dropped deep in the first half to try and influence matters but failed to find the breakthrough for once and nothing left to give at end. 6

Hal Robson-Kanu - Very lively early on and created a chance on a plate for King. Kept defenders occupied but a golden opening never came his way. 7

Subs

Simon Church - Replaced Robson-Kanu in the final 11 minutes and had the ball in the net only to be thwarted by the assistant referee's flag. 6

Sam Vokes - Given a late opportunity from the bench to provide attacking alternative but had little time to make crucial impression. 6
