Valverde bemoans luck of draw

Villarreal coach Ernesto Valverde has admitted that the draw for the Europa League could have been more favourable to his side.

The Yellow Submarines will face Bundesliga champions Wolfsburg, who dropped out of the Champions League after a final group day defeat at home to Manchester United.

Speaking to the club's official website, he said: "You could say that the draw has been tough for us because Wolfsburg are the current champions of the German League.

"They're a team who score goals, despite them not currently being at their best."

The first leg will be at El Madrigal on February 18 with the return leg in Germany a week later.
