Rossi attracts Juve interest

Juventus are reported to be leading the chase to sign Italy international striker Giuseppe Rossi from Spanish side Villarreal.

The 22-year-old former Manchester United frontman has made a flying start to his Azzurri career and recently scored twice in the Confederations Cup win over the USA.

Such form has brought rumours of a return to Serie A, where Rossi has previously played with Parma.

His agent, Federico Pastorello, told told GR Parlamento: "No official offer has been made to Villarreal.

"From what I know, Juve are interested in Rossi, but the Spanish club have not received any offers.

"Rossi is worth between 25 and 28million euros and when he leaves Villarreal, he will go to a top club.

"If an inferior offer is made, there will be no negotiations."
