Football: Colombian Zapata signs for Villarreal

Colombian international defender Cristian Zapata has signed for La Liga outfit Villarreal from Italian club Udinese.
The 25-year-old Zapata played 168 matches with Udinese, where he arrived in 2005, and his transfer to Villarreal, who like Udinese will go into Champions League qualifiers, cost nine million euros, according to the Ansa news agency.
