Valencia have completed the signing of Montpellier midfielder Alberto Costa after he successfully passed a medical at the Mestalla.

The Argentine was delighted to make the move to Spain and he is now ready to force his way into Unai Emery's first team ahead of the new La Liga season.

Speaking to reporters, he said: "I am very happy to be here at such a prestigious club.

"I feel as if a dream has come true. My dream was to play in Spain where the best Argentines are playing.

"I am glad to be in Valencia and hope we do well in all the competitions we face."
