Valencia secured their third straight win in a week under head coach Gary Neville with a 2-1 victory at Granada.

Midfielder Daniel Parejo broke the deadlock early in the second half and substitute Santi Mina added a late second before Granada pulled one back through Edgar Mendez deep in time added on.

Valencia clinched their first league win under Neville at the 10th attempt last weekend with a 2-1 home success against Espanyol and followed up by thrashing Rapid Vienna 6-0 in the Europa League on Thursday.

But Granada were first to threaten when midfielder Fran Rico flashed a shot just wide, while Valencia's first attempt on goal came in the 19th minute with striker Paco Alcacer's shot from the right edge of the area blocked.

Adalberto Penaranda fired wide for Granada in the 28th minute before Alcacer forced Granada goalkeeper Andres into a fine save with a low shot towards the corner.

Andre Gomes was twice denied by Andres either side of Granada defender Ricardo Costa's header at the other end, which was turned away by Valencia goalkeeper Diego Alves.

Alves kept out Granada striker Ruben Rochina's low shot five minutes into the second half before Valencia went ahead in the 55th minute when Parejo drilled the ball into the bottom corner following Alcacer's assist.

Granada substitute Youssef El-Arabi's header flew wide in the 70th minute and the same player pulled his shot off target shortly afterwards.

Valencia made sure of the points in the 90th minute through Mina's neat low finish but were given a late scare three minutes later when Granada substitute Edgar Mendez headed in Rochina's cross.
