Soriano shuns Real rumours

Valencia president Vicente Soriano has dismissed reports suggesting that Real Madrid are lining up a mega-bid for David Villa, David Silva, Juan Mata and Raul Albiol.

Florentino Perez is expected to test the resolve of Los Che if he regains control at the Bernabeu this summer, with 120 million euros earmarked for the Valencia quartet.

However, Soriano dismissed such rumours, saying: "I think it's the umpteenth time that this sort of thing has happened.

"The news is totally false and very much doubt that at any moment it'll be true."
