Mathieu makes Mestalla move

Valencia have completed the signing of French defender Jeremy Mathieu on a three-year deal.

The 25-year-old, who moves to the Mestalla from Toulouse, is Valencia's second capture of the summer following the acquisition of Angel Dealbert.

Mathieu has spent the last four years with Toulouse and was regarded as one of the best left-backs in France.

Meanwhile, Spain international striker David Villa continues to be linked with a transfer to Real Madrid.
