Los Che desperate to keep Mata
03 Jul 2010 - 13:13:16
Valencia president Manuel Llorente remains adamant that Spain forward Juan Mata will not leave the Mestalla this summer, with the club having already agreed to exits for David Villa and David Silva.
Los Che's financial problems have seen striker Villa depart for Barcelona and winger Silva agree a switch to Manchester City, but Llorente is in no mood to part with Mata as well.
He told Super Deporte: "Mata will not be sold, that is imperative.
"If someone comes and pays the players buyout clause, obviously he could leave, but there is not going to be such an offer."
Meanwhile, Valencia are reported to be one of the clubs interested in Juventus' veteran French striker David Trezeguet.
Agent Antonio Caliendo told Marca: "We are handling various options from Atletico Madrid, Sevilla and Valencia, as well as from Arab teams."
