New Valencia defender Ricardo Costa can't wait to get started with the La Liga giants after completing his free transfer from German outfit Wolfsburg.

The Portuguese defender enjoyed a spell on loan at Lille last term ad could have rejoined the French team, but he is sure he has teamed up with the better side after opting to join Unai Emery's squad.

Speaking to reporters, he said: "I have the feeling I am entering a great team and I really want to start working.

"I promise a lot of work because all the teams I played for I tried my best.

"For me this is the best league in Europe and the Spanish team has everything to win the World Cup."
