Aduriz set for Valencia switch

La Liga powerhouses Valencia have confirmed they are on the verge of signing Real Mallorca striker Aritz Aduriz.

Unai Emery's Mestalla-based outfit are making moves in the transfer market after selling David Villa to Barcelona and David Silva to Manchester City and with the new season fast approaching.

The 29-year-old is expected to complete his switch on Friday after and a statement on the Valencia website read: "Valencia and RCD Mallorca have reached an agreement in principle for the transfer of Aritz Aduriz."

Meanwhile, club technical secretary Braulio Vazquez added: "We hope to have it all sealed, but we are very satisfied and I think we have completed a large squad that is competitive and with many options."
