Ukraine talisman Andriy Shevchenko was delighted after his penalty sent his side through to the last 16 of the World Cup.
Shevchenko netted 20 minutes from time to secure a 1-0 win over Tunisia and ensure that Ukraine finished as runners-up to Spain in Group H.
"It's a hugely important achievement for Ukrainian football that we have got into the next round," Shevchenko said.
"We always kept our belief despite the terrible defeat against Spain."
Tunisia coach Roger Lemerre was left to look ahead to future challenges after his side's World Cup hopes evaporated.
The Frenchman said: "We share the disillusionment of the Tunisian fans, but life goes on.
"We now have to think about qualification for the next African Cup of Nations as well as the next World Cup."
