Pepe move dismissed by agent

The agent of Udinese star Simone Pepe has dismissed media reports linking his client with a move to Premier League side Sunderland at the end of the season.

Pepe is rumoured to be attracting Black Cats boss Steve Bruce and Serie A outfit Fiorentina, but his advisor Giovanni Branchini has brushed off the rumours and suggested he is only concentrating on winning a place in Italy's World Cup squad.

"I know nothing about that," Branchini told Calciomercato.

"Should this have been true, then I would have known about it. There are no real negotiations at the moment."

"Being a World Cup year, each type of market is postponed until after it has finished. Simone is obviously wishing to go to the World Cup. He wants to have a good end to the season."
