Udinese coach Pasquale Marino thanked the club's board for showing faith in him during a difficult last few months at the Friuli.

Udine finally ended a run of 11 games without a win by seeing off Juventus, with Marino grateful for the support he has received.

He said: "I must thank Udinese, one of the few clubs who look at the overall work of a coach and don't let themselves be influenced by the media or transfer talk.

"The club has always been close to me, I have always been relaxed and they let me get on with my work.

"You need a perfect performance to beat a great team like Juventus and that is what we did.

"The lads wanted to put in a great performance and they managed it. The hunger was immense and I am very happy."
