Di Natale turns down Juventus move
25 Aug 2010 - 08:04:56
Italy striker Antonio Di Natale has rejected the chance to join Juventus by opting to remain with Udinese.
The 32-year-old, who was the top scorer in Serie A last season, was being lined up as a last-minute signing by Juve but has now decided to reject the opportunity to head to Turin.
He told Udine's fans at a team presentation: "I want to end my career in Udine.
"I don't know anything about this. I want to stay in Udine, where I'm happy and I want to end my career.
"I have been here for seven years and I want to stay here. I don't know anything about transfer negotiations. I'm staying here."
Di Natale has spent the last six years with Udine, having risen to prominence with Empoli, while he was also a member of the Italy squad which crashed out of the World Cup in the group stages earlier this year.
