Tunisia marked their Africa Cup of Nations win over Morocco here Monday night by displaying support for jailed former teammate Ziad Jaziri.

After the whistle blew on their opening 2-1 Group C win over the Moroccans Tunisia captain Karim Haggui and the rest of the side pulled on shirts with "Solidarity with Jaziri" written on them.

The former Carthage Eagles striker became a national hero after scoring the winning goal in Tunisia's 2-1 defeat of Morocco in the 2004 Nations Cup final at home.

The 33-year-old who has earned 64 caps was then arrested by police and detained in July last year in connection with a drug trafficking affair.
