Rangnick fires future warning

TSG Hoffenheim coach Ralf Rangnick has warned that he could quit the club at the end of the season, following his side's collapse in form in recent weeks.

The former Bundesliga title contenders are without a win in their last 12 league games and have tumbled down into mid-table as a consequence.

Rangnick told Bild: "I cannot identify with being average. I am not prepared to accept any further steps backward. We have got to strengthen in six or seven positions.

"I will not think about anything else just as long as I have the feeling that I can take this team further.

"Whether or not I have that feeling, we will have to see over the next six or seven weeks.

"My task was to lead Hoffenheim into the Bundesliga and then I was told that things would really get interesting."
