Ibisevic extends Hoffe contract

TSG Hoffenheim striker Vedad Ibisevic has signed a contract extension to keep him at the club until the summer of 2013.

The 24-year-old Bosnia international was the star of the first half of the Bundesliga season, scoring 18 goals in 17 games to take his club to the top of the table.

However, Hoffe fell away badly after the winter break, with Ibisevic having suffered a season-ending knee injury during training.

General manager Jan Schindelmeiser told the club's official website: "He is a crucial part of our team.

"His extension is a signal that we will continue down the path we have followed until now."
