Hopp targets Rangnick deal

TSG Hoffenheim owner Dietmar Hopp is hoping to agree a new contract with the club's highly-rated coach Ralf Rangnick.

The 51-year-old had helped turn the minnows into a major force in German football, having taken charge of his current club just over three years ago.

Hopp told Rhein-Neckar Zeitung newspaper: "I think it should be our aim to extend Ralf Rangnick's contract.

"The coach has an important standing at Hoffenheim. Without him, lots of players would not have come here.

"We have not reached our peak in Hoffenheim yet."
