Hoffenheim coach Ralf Rangnick was pleased to see his side mark their first game at their new Rhein-Neckar Arena home with a 2-0 win over Energie Cottbus.

Goals from Demba Ba and recent loan signing Boubacar Sanogo gave Rangnick's side the points and lifted them two points clear at the top of the Bundesliga table.

"We are very happy with the result, but also with the performance of the team," Rangnick said.

"It was clear that it wasn't going to be flowing football. The conditions didn't allow it.

"Of course we don't have a pitch like Wembley, but that will change.

"Our players played very well together, even though some of them have only known each other for three days."
