Eduardo considers Hoffe future

Brazil playmaker Carlos Eduardo has revealed that a failure to qualify for European competition could lead him to seek a move away from Hoffenheim at the end of the season.

The 22-year-old former Gremio starlet joined Hoffe in 2007 when they were a second division side and feels that his time at the Rhein-Neckar-Arena may be coming to an end.

Hoffenheim are currently ninth in the Bundesliga table.

"I'm very grateful that Hoffenheim offered me the chance to play in Europe and I'm very proud that I've been able to give something back to the club with some good performances," he said.

"However, my future could lie elsewhere. It's almost certain that I will stay here if we qualify for European football though.

"I really want to play in the Europa League and I hope to do so with Hoffenheim.

"We need some new players to strengthen the team. We lack the depth to compete at the top level."
